Carol,

Re your first question, the easiest way may be to go to address book and choose Export as a wab file from the File menu. That way you should get only one file that you copy to your laptop to be imported to your new address book. Sorry I'm not sure what the wab32 and the other files you mentioned are. If they are in your Win32 folder, then you don't need to worry about them for the purpose of transferring your Windows Address Book.

HTH,
Amro

Subject: [access-uk] A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS IN SETTING UP NEW LAPTOP

Hi all,

I have a couple of questions.

1) I didn't run the Files Transfer wizard and really only need now to transfer my Windows Address Book. I've taken a look and found various WAB32 files, and WAB32RES files. This leaves me confused as to which I should be transferring to use on the laptop.

2) Can anyone using a DELL laptop with buttons on the front which can be used in various ways depending on settings please tell me where I find information on how to change the current settings so that they are used as the sound file player buttons. (A friend changed them quickly the other day to see if the vol etc worked and I can't now locate those settings.)

3) I notice JAWS list views intermittently stop working on the laptop. Anyone got a better fix for this than a) Reboot or B) something more disastrous?

Sorry for all the questions and "Thanks" in anticipation!
