My investigations into what kind of broadband Etc. would best suit me, lead
me to the site:

investigation. I shall be receiving a weekly email of this type, if listers
may find it of use, either subscribe yourselves or I can post it.  I am
happy to send a couple and plan to investigate some of these stories

Sky offers sport and movies for download

Sky is about to launch its TV download service, which will be available at
no extra cost to some existing Sky customers.

ntl to reduce price of its 10Mbps service

The ntl 10Mbps cable broadband service is set to see a price reduction
from £37.99 to £34.99.

Ofcom sets ceiling charge for a fully unbundled local loop

Ofcom has determined that the maximum price BT can charge for a fully
unbundled line is £81.69 per year.

Is Ofcom to consider a compulsory migration code of practice?

Back in August 2004 a voluntary code of practice was launched for handling
migrations - it seems Ofcom may soon be about to review this.

Is the period of rapid growth for UK broadband running out?

This is something of a sobering thought, but the rapid growth in demand
for broadband in the UK may start to slow down, and see providers
competing even more keenly for customers from other providers.
