That's strange because I've found little difference between the time taken to do a complete system scan with AVG 6 and with AVG 7. If its a problem, try scanning using a less complete option for regular scans and use the complete system scan every few days.

Hi all
I know that the latest version of AVG is more thorough than the last one but my scan now takes about 40 to 45 minutes to run whereas it used to take about 15 minutes. Is this right? The only programmes I have added is any Windows XP updates.
I'm running XP with JFW 5.1 pro.
