You could plug up a separate speaker via the headphone jack socket Mobin.  for 
instance I could use the Bose Mini soundlink I use with my iPhone.  It’s not 
unusual for personal radios not to have speakers.  Mind you, the ear buds 
supplied with the unit are dreadful.  But my Sennheiser in-ears work well and 
give good sound.
