John, ours is operated either by a simple phone style audio keypad i.e. it
beeps on key press, or by swiping a fob which can go on a keyring to start
or stop the alarm.
Can't remember the make, but will find out if you're interested.

Does anyone know of any brands of intruder alarms which would be accessible
or at least useable for a blind home owner? I have heard some can be
operated by phone or even smart phone app, or maybe there are some with
control panels which have audible beeps and are tactile?
