As I understand it there are currently no set top boxes with AD other than the
portset box. It's either a 2nd hand netgem, PC based solution, one of the
Panasonic or sony TVs which come with it built in, or sky or cable service.

Subject: [access-uk] Accessible Set-Top Boxes

Hi All,

Apologies if this subject has already been covered, but I'm looking for an
accessible, i.e. blind person friendly digital set-top box. I know that
Netgem used to produce an accessible version of their Iplayer but stopped
doing so at the start of this year.

Portset do produce one but it's £625, beyond my budget. Do you know of any
accessible set-top boxes?

Any help would be gratefully received,

Thanks

Sayka Hussain
