Hi Richard

I have the ABBY FineReader on my computer, but when I open the PDF file within
this it just says bad image type.

I use FineReader (£80ish), but Openbook and so on and other progs will do it
too. Many printer-scanners and scanners have OCR progs packaged with them.

You can run it through an OCR prog if you have one.

I think this has been discussed before, but what can you do when you
download an Adobe PDF file and it says !Alert: Empty Document"? Of course the
document is not empty, but that is what JAWS says. I know from before that if
you print it you can then scan, but is there a way of reading it without
printing? I've tried saving as a text file, but still it appears empty.
