Hi Martin and all,

Sorry to send this again, but I did not really sign off properly.

I am sorry not to have changed the subject line, but I believe that from
what my friend said on the phone earlier, that he can not copy his address
book until he resolves the problem which I have tried to describe in this
message, therefore, I feel it is related to the initial thread about copying
address books.

Further to my last message, the friend for whom I am asking about the
copying of address books, telephoned me this evening, to say that when he
goes into his address book, he gets what he described as a search box
popping up on the screen so that he can not see all the names in his address
list.

I thought it may be the preview pain, but when we went through and unchecked
the preview pain it did not seem to make any difference. Does anyone know
why my friend is getting this problem on a machine running windows XP?

Thank you in advance for any help.
