Hi,

You can control the heating with Hive, by saying turn up the temperature two
degrees, or something like that.

What you can't do is get information about what the current temperature is.
For that, you need the Hive app.  So really all you can do is turn
on/off/up/down the heating.

All the best

Steve

Hi John

It does, but you obviously need the device Echo supports such as Hive or
Nest.  We don't have either, so I am not sure what is involved.

Kind Regards,

Subject: [access-uk] Amazon Echo - can it control your central heating?

Hello All,

I've noticed this being the subject line of recent emails but have not
lookked at any. Someone just said that they thought Echo might be able to
give you verbal access to central heating controls. Is this so and, if it
is, how does it work?

Thanks.
John.
