Yes, it depends on your point of view, but Chris is right.  I personally
like not being tied to my phone when I want to know something, and can just
ask Alexa for something simple like the time.  We had a house full of family
and friends last night, and everyone was intrigued by the Echo, it was a
right laugh!

Kind Regards,

Jackie Brown

I have a Dot and one or more iOS devices and they all do the same things in
their own little ways with the exception that the Dot can be controlled
entirely through your voice and you get automatic speech feedback whereas
you still have to use the touch screen despite Siri being available on all
of them.

Hi all
If I have an IPhone/iPad or android, what will amazon echo/dot do that I
can't already do? I am interested in getting echo or dot but surely if I can
already do the things with my present devices, then echo or dot would be a
waste of money.
Thanks
