Hi,

Why are you so into the Sony phones? Galaxy S3 or the Galaxy Nexus 4 are
way better alternatives, and you will get Jellybean on those phones pretty
much out of the box in the case of the Nexus 4 and as an over the air update
as soon as you get it on the S3.

The Sony phones tend to have loads of bloatware on them that is generally
inaccessible I'd say and they are only just getting on Ice Cream Sandwich,
let alone Jellybean, which is the latest.

If you go for an S3 or a Nexus then Netflix works great. Under ICS it
should work too, but make sure whatever phone you do get is not on
Gingerbread, Version 2.3.6, or Netflix will be totally out of the question
for you.

Hope this helps.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] Android

Hi all,

I am about to embark upon the Android journey. To this end I have a
few questions.

1. I am trying to decide between the Experia Galaxy S, the Sony
Ericson Pro and the Sony Ericson Mini Pro. I have had some excellent
help from Mo, but I wonder what other people think. Which handset has
the better sound quality in terms of listening to audio with
headphones and external amp/speakers?

2. I want to watch films on my shiny new phone. Has anybody had
experience of Netflicks' Android app? if so, how accessible is it?
and, is there a real, practical alternative to Netflicks if I want to
stream films?

Thanks very much,

BJ
