Barry - I don't know wherre you're coming from! Of course we can find the word,
which actually is Sample, not play or listen, on the Audible website, it's that
we can't click it to make the sample play -

  Hi,

I can see the Play no problems with IE8, 9 and Firefox 3.6 using JFW v12,
(latest build), and Window Eyes 7.5.

Have you tried a screen find, (ctrl f), to look for the word Play? Or Listen?

  Regards,

  Barry.

  Hi Andy.

My wife has the same problem, and I think it depends on the version of IE you
are using as far as I’ve been able to work out. According to my sighted
support worker, the button is visible on her mac, that is to say when it is
running a virtual machine and with a single mouse click, said support worker
can get the sample to play no problem. Jaws on the other hand cant recognise
the button in the flash control, nor does it recognise that there is even one
on the page so this looks as if its a problem between jaws and flash rather
than with the website. Doubtless Audible will get round to testing this out if
enough people complain about it, though if I’m being totally honest, reporting
problems to Audible is usually a waste of time as everything is done in the
states, the UK arm of Audible mainly deals with marketing, customer services
for the UK users and of course the all important rights negotiation with our
big and not so big publishers.

  All the best, Ibrahim.

Thanks Mary and Mike for letting us know, I'm surprised how few have
commented on this issue from a website I know many of us subscribe to.

Apart from Ibrahim, nobody has come back to say they can get it to work, and
if Ibrahim's watching, I'd like him to try again, and tell us how he does it,
cos so far, nothing is working -

  Andy

Same here. I use Window-Eyes and also SA. I sent an email and was told
they would mention the problem to their web design people as they had received
quite a few comments from blind users.

    Regards

    Hi,

I have been unable to get the Sample Button to work using Window-Eyes.

    Cheers,

    Hello all -

I'm not getting anywhere with Audible so far. I've had 2 people each ask me
what the problem is, so they can forward it to their web design team, but
nothing has changed.

Perhaps others on here might help me get a snap shot of their experiences,
using JFW IE7 and the new Audible website? I remember Ibrahim saying it worked
for him, as did Iain, but think he might have changed his mind.

    All help would be appreciated.

I've got flash installed, and I've tried various ways of clicking the word
'sample', using different cursors etc, but no joy.

    Thanks -

    Andy
