Hi Peter.

Thank you for the direct address to Bob Harris. You kindly provided this the other day and I have acted on it mate cheers.

My question to James was how did he manage to secure a url whilst listening to the BBC Radio Player. I have the accessible radio player installed and when I launch it, I get a list of various stations. I arrow down to Radio 2 and press Tab to listen to it. I tab again to stop it. There is no address bar which comes up with an url to that particular show, so I cannot do an ALT D to get to the address. In an earlier message, James advised that he secured the address to Bob Harris's Saturday night show by using the Radio Player. So I'm sorry for all the confusion over this and for going on a bit about it mate.

Best wishes.
Andy.

I'm puzzled Andy. Allyou have to do is for instance, ifyou want to e-mail bob harris, just send the e-mail to bob.harris@xxxxxxxxxx

Hi again James.

Can youtell me how you managed to focus upon a url within the Radio Player. I usually do an alt D to get to the address bar, but in the Player, there is no address bar?

Best wishes.
Andy

Andy

These links came from the *radio Player*!! :). But as long as you can find a link to the programme, anywhere, you can follow the instructions from my previous message to get the URL.

Hi James.

Thanks for that, but how did you go around getting it? Now I've got 2 url's, One for Bob's Saturday evening show and one for Simon Mayo's Monday Album Chart show. Incidentally, his link is "http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio2/aod.shtml?radio2/albumchart";

All I need do now is get more links to fill up my web-page, and there is plenty to choose from eh?

Thanks again.

Andy

Andy, you want
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio2/aod.shtml?radio2/bobharris

The best way of getting a URL is to find a link to the page you want, right-click the link, then choose "copy shortcut" from the pop-up context menu that appears. You won't get any feedback after you click on this option, but the URL that the link is pointing to will have been copied to the clipboard, for you to paste it into your web page or wherever you want it to go.

Hi Peter. Thanks for that, but do you think that they would give it to me? Worth trying anyway eh?

Best wishes.

Hi all.

Can anyone please advise me of the best way to grab a url from a BBC Radio 2 show?

I'm using the BBC's Radio Player but when listening, there is no obvious way of copying the url. The one that I'm trying to get is Bob Harris's Saturday night show. I even tried to get the url from the BBC Radio 2 web-page, by clicking on Listen Again, but the Radio Player launches. The only way I can get an url is to listen live and do an ALT F4.

Best wishes.

Andy
