James, the counter argument there is that with your bog standard
personal stereo you don't have the ability to read any kind of txt file
on the move. Personally I love the courier because it and it's PC
interface are extremely intuitive in terms of use, it already has a good
deal of functionality and flexibility at a reasonable price, the company
which has developed it continues to look for ways of improving and
expanding what it can do and, in my experience, it's pretty stable and
reliable.

Cheers now.

Ian

I like the idea of the book Courier and I understand it's a difficult
project to get off the ground, but for me it doesn't quite do enough of
any one thing to make it worth buying just yet e.g.

- Doesn't support Word documents, html documents, Commercial e-books,
ITunes, Napster or the lower-quality formats from Audible
- Only speaks English
- Doesn't have a radio on it, meaning that if you want radio you have to
take a separate unit with you whereas with a bog-standard personal
stereo you have your radio and your audio book in one device.
