allowed to travel on bus or train anywhere in Scotland free of charge, but
that your carer has to pay on the train, and travels free on the bus.
You could try contacting Traveline Scotland because it is different in other
parts of the UK. Where I live here in Northern Ireland, I have a SmartPass
which gives me free bus travel, but I would have to pay on the train, and
there is no concession for a companion.

Hi guys, Firs, let me apologise if this is off topic, but I thought some
people on list wouold be holders of the bus pass itself.
I’m wondering about the wworkings of the buse pass.
I realise it also does other forums of transport such as Trains and Ferries.
Mainly I am Interested in travelling with my carer by train.
My question?
Does my pass do both me and my carer on the train. What I mean is. Do we both
travel free of charge, or will there be a charge for my carer?.
