Hi Steve.

I just got my CNM external drive this morning in the post. In case you haven't
got yours yet, its exactly as I predicted, it has a power lead with a rounded
power plug at one end and USB connection at the other, you also have a data
lead which is a standard USB cable. I can connect this drive to my netbook
using just the one lead as the netbook provides enough power to operate the
drive without the use of the additional power chord. The drive is amazingly
light; In fact its probably the lightest drive I've ever seen, even lighter
than my slot-in external which also as it happens shares the same drive caddy.
I've yet to do extensive testing of the drive capabilities, but the drive
mechanism is an Optiarc although you might have a different one in your caddy
which it would be interesting to find out.

All the best, Ibrahim.
