Hi Alexander,

I'd better add that to zip up a file or files, you can
highlight them, right click and select "Send to", the select
"Compressed (zipped) Folder".

Thank you for your reply.

I do not need to unzip anything at the moment , but I was
just thinking 
ahead, encase I needed to do so.

I just thought that as WinZip had the ability to have an
icon on the 
desktop, this would be possible for the Windows XP
equivalent.
