Hi All

Every so often when I close Outlook Express I get a dialogue coming up advising
me that to free up disk space, Outlook Express can compact messages, and asking
if I would like to do this. The options (as far as I can remember) are OK and
Cancel. I normally choose OK, and I can see a dialogue on screen telling me
that messages are being compacted - but this morning I chose Cancel. When I
re-opened Outlook Express later on, everything in my Inbox had disappeared!!

A similar thing happened with lots of my e-mail messages disappearing when I
re-opened Outlook Express some time ago, and I didn't know the reason why. I
now think that it's probably to do with the same thing.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Whn I look in Windows Explorer at my e-mail
folder, I can see that ther is my usual Inbox, then an Inbox (1).

Any ideas gratefully received!!!
