Thanks very much for this sandra. Does anyone have any particular
recommendations then for a make of rechargeable battery and is there any
particular charger I should go for?

I don't have that much experience of rechargeable batteries and am not sure
if there is a particular make or capacity I should ame for.

regards

Graham

Hi Graham,
Depending on how much internal memory you want, you could get the DS40 or
the DS50. The battery life, I would say, is about twenty hours playing
audio books but might well be a lot more than that playing voice files. You
can use NIMH rechargeable batteries in the recorder but you need a separate
charger as they cannot be charged in the player itself. If you get high
capacity batteries, I don't see why you couldn't get the same long battery
life as from standard triple A's.

Cheers,
Sandra.
