Jonathan mosen recently did a review of some dvd-type software on his blog. Take a look at www.mosenexplosion.com, it's near the top of the page, you just have to click on the link to hear the audio. I've never used it and no nothing about this sort of thing, so I'm afraid I can't give you any more help with it.

Subject: [access-uk] DVD software

Hi,

What software do people use/recommend to watch DVDs?

I've recently got a new computer and it has Nero on it; when I put a DVD in I get the choice of watching it using Nero Show Time, Real Player or Windows Media Player. So far I can't get any of these to work well with JAWS.

I thought maybe Windows Media Player would be ok but I can't find a way to make it play...the same intro bit just keeps playing again and again. I tabbed around and found what sounded like a play list but pressing enter on things didn't seem to do anything.

On my old computer I had Win DVD which wasn't great; sometimes things would play automatically, but with some DVDs where it seemed one was supposed to select something I could never figure out what to do...by pressing context key, random key combinations or whatever...

What software do people find usable?

Catherine
