Hi David
I have one and in general it's fine - jaws works on it.
I loaded it up with quite a bit of stuff and so it can take over a minute to get Jaws speaking on bootup but if it's to be used for basics, emails, surfing, watching and listening to streamed audio and video, then it's fairly good and reliable. As you'll have noticed the keys are quite tightly packed to get the smallness of the netbook. I have got used to this although I don't think a netbook could get much smaller for touch typing. It's small and light - that's why I bought it - the Samsung NC10 is probably more comfortable to use but it's a bit bigger. You do lose function keys and have to get used to key combinations to make them work, except F11 and F12 which aren't there.

You might find the solid state disk 8GB or 16GB limiting for installing programs. Most people will have 6 or 7 gb of basic programs which they use most. The machine copes with this. If you need more then you can install to an SD card - 16gb SD cards are quite cheap and very usable for this. Also external harddrives work well for data.

If I can help in any other way let me know. If you're wanting a netbook and not a laptop with higher processor speed then this will do well. For most uses it's not too sluggish. If however you're wanting speed and to do number crunching with audio and video editing then you are much better served with a laptop or desktop with much higher processor speeds.

Has anyone had any experience of this beastie?

I have been offered one for £200 new - seems too good to be true, but need
to know if JFW will work on it - any other comments welcomed.
