I am sure the Plextalk talking book player has a foot pedal socket.

  Subject: [access-uk] Digital transcription devices

  Hi All

I wonder if any of you could help with this one please.

I help out at a class for clients using JAWS at our local Society for the
Blind. The Access Technology trainer who works there produces her course
materials on tape, and gets clients to type in the exercises using audio
transcription machines and foot pedals.

But the trainer is looking to move over to CD, but can't find any digital
transcription units that will allow users to operate them with a foot pedal.
The only machines she can find with pedals are all tape. So what I am
wondering is whether there is perhaps a DAISY machine, for example, that could
be fitted with a foot pedal to allow people to access CD as they do with tape.
I am not aware of anything, but feel sure someone here will know if such a
device exists.

Many thanks for your help everyone.

  Jackie
