Well, you should be able to rip the tracks directly to your mp3 player. Connect 
your player or your memory card first and then specify them as the destination 
for your ripped tracks.

Hi Jim,

Assuming its an Audio-CD, and the tracks are in the native CDDA format, then 
yes, one would need to rip them into MP3 to play on such a device.
