Thanks for the suggestion George,
the instructions on the Microsoft site was quite difficult to follow, but, I
found a small tool to accomplish what I needed. It is called ODIR and works
fine.

Good morning all,
using windows 7, outlook 2003, jaws 13.
somehow, I managed to create several copies of same emails in my sent items
folder in the outlook. There are now thousands of duplicate emails and the
folder is getting very large. Does anyone have any idea how I can delete
these duplicate emails? Going through each emails and deleting them one by
one would take weeks!
