[access-uk] Epson perfection v300 and all that junk.

Hi all.  Got an Epson v300 and installed it, and it works with k1000.  now
I'm wondering, I installed all the rubbish that came with the scanner, event
this and print that, what can I safely ditch whiteout impeding the working
of k1000? And can someone please give me an idea of what the four buttons
are for on the right of the scanner?  Thanks.
