Hi Damon,
I'm glad all is working with regards to your Talks.
I encourage you to either upgrade your Talks standard license to Talks Premium or add the voices to your existing license. Either way it's going to cost £50. You can do all this, as well as get a code in minutes, by going to www.talknav.com. Hope this helps.

Do you? How do you go about doing that, then? Is this the Premium Talks
thing? Isn't that about an extra 100 pounds?

Oh finally! I've done it.

The last big hurdle was indeed the time and date on the phone. Thank
you Chris for that and thank you Amro for the backup troubleshooting
too. All your help has been really very appreciated.

So, flush with success, I installed one of the vocaliser VCM speech
synths too but it doesn't appear on the list. When in demo mode,
before I registered, she did speak but now I can't find her at all. IN
Talks, seemingly the only speech synths are the eloquence one I
downloaded and a Nokia TTS.

Thanks so much.

And while she is taking a look ask her to go to App Manager>Options
(left soft key)>Settings and make sure that Software Installation is
set to all.

Nokia models vary to where App Manager is located but it is usually
accessed from Installations or Settings. On the E66 I have over here
it is Menu>Installations>App Manager.

Cheers,
Amro

ahhh what an amazing thought. I'll get my now rather fed up girlfriend to
take a look. It's not quite 24 hours since I started this whole thing.
