External DVD drive for netbook recommendations?Hi Damon.

Lite-on do two excellent models, each with their various pros and cons. The
ETau108 is their newest and features a flip top loading mechanism and USB tidy,
concealing the USB cable within the body of the drive. This is one of my
personal favourites as it was specificly made for the netbook market, however
the down side is that because of this tidy mechanism, the USB cable is
impossibly short, a meer 15 centimetres. The other model is the ESau208-3,
this is a more conventional draw tray load drive a little bigger and heavier
than the ETau108 but arguably more robust. The ESau208-3 also has LiteScribe
capability and is supplied with a y-lead, so you can use one or two USB ports
as the need should arise and of course the cable is long enough for desktop as
well as laptop use. Both can be bought from play.com, links I can provide on
request. The cost of the ETau108 is £34.99 while the ESau208-3 is a little
more at £59.99.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Subject: [access-uk] External DVD drive for netbook recommendations?

  Hi there.

  As per the subject line.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a DVD or perhaps just CD burner that
I could hook up to my Samsung netbook?

I guess small would be better . and it's always nice if the USB does the
power too.

  Open to all.

  Thanks v much.
