I think you'll be fine. I have used a range of external drives on AMD
machines without any problem.

Subject: [access-uk] External hard drive specifications.

        Hi all,

because of one thing and another, buying an external hard drive, had to be
put on hold. But I have now found one that I am interested in. The only
thing I am not to shore of is when I looked at the Specifications, one of
the things it said was,
 Platform
PC, Pentium III 700MHz or higher, 64MB RAM. Now I have an AMD(tm) athlom 64
processor 3000+2.00 GHz and 512Mb of Ram. It didn't say anything about AMD.
So please can someone tell me before I buy this external drive, is it going
to be okay for my computer?. Thanks in advance for any help.
All the best
Petrina,
