Sorry for the blank message- I was experimenting with the Google
webmail interface and it was sent before I was ready!
Many thanks for the various responses to my enquiry. To save
cluttering the list I will not reply individually, but all comments
and info were much appreciated.
I am beginning to think that taking advantage of some of the special
offers on hardware items available when signing up for a broadband
package may be something to avoid. Although unwanted software can
usually bbe uninstalled, if it is of Symantec origin the process is
not necessarily without problems.
