Please pass this on to other lists, but if you think it may be off-topic for that group, please ask the moderator first. It will definitely be on topic for the Archers list, because the title track is performed by one of the cast members (Julia Hills who plays Borchester Land board member Annabel). Eric Allen, aka Bert Fry also gets a poem. Thankfully Bert didn't write it! Kevin writes: On Flashback Gold on the 5th July, we'll be taking a break from our usual Beatles show. We'll feature, hot off the presses, the brand new British Computer Association of the Blind Guide Cats CD. The British Computer Association of the Blind, is a registered charity in the UK. It has a wonderful series of comedy CDs, the first of which was called Guide Cats for the Blind, released in 2003. Volume 5 of the series will be launched in Birmingham at Sight Village this July. Sight Village is the largest exhibition of access technology in the UK and is a well-attended event. The album is a double CD, called Herding Cats. I'll be giving exclusive first plays to many of the tracks from it and giving away a copy to one lucky listener in a very easy competition. The CDs are full of brilliant performances of songs and poems, written by legendary folk poet Les Barker. All the tracks are either sung or spoken by a phenomenal range of personalities from radio, theatre and pop and folk worlds. The money raised from the sales of CDs is used to fund BCAB's EyeT4All project, which introduces visually-impaired people to affordable computer access in a fun and informative way. Flashback Gold goes out live every Tuesday at 2 pm Eastern, that's 7 pm in the UK. The tracks from the new CD will be played with other well-known songs in a fun way, so tune in and find out more about BCAB's Guide Cats project, and find out where you can get the new CD and the others in the album series. You can find us and listen live at www.mushroomfm.com. If you miss it, you'll be able to replay the show for up to seven days after transmission.
