Well Steve, don't know what the lead times are for design of gear these days, but things seem to move so quickly that it would appear that for a lot of stuff it isn't that long, not if the model isn't 'ground breaking' in any substantial way. Guess the fixed memory this machine appears to have is one approach, and it is the one the expensive Nagra hand held takes. Well, at least I suppose it is one way of maybe increasing reliability and preventing dust from getting in. It will be interesting to see/hear reviews of this range of machines, on the likes of BCT and Access World. Also, I wonder how these Olympus machines will be marketed as they don't fall that neatly into the dictation category.
