Hi,

You can format the disk as 720k in XP - you have to manually specify the
size however, but it is just a case of using the listbox in the format
dialog. As for the CDRW, you can do a full erase on the disk in your
CDR program, or in something like InCD you can do a reformat which will
prepare the disk for use as a drag and drop disk. It may however ask
you to do an erase before the format, especially if it can't tell if it
was originally used by InCD.

Thanks.
Andrew.

Subject: [access-uk] Formatting 720K floppies and CDRW/s

Hello listers,

Is it possible to format 720K floppies in Windows XP Home? Also, I have
a CDRW I was using for backups which is no longer readable. Can I
format it to clear any errors? Help most appreciated. thanks in
advance.

Best wishes,

Clive Pallett
