Hello all,
Since we've been back on the subject of the Freecom TV stick, I thought I'd
ask and see if anyone has any ideas for me.
I've installed it, and at first it kept saying it had no signal. (It
scanned for programs, and JAWS announced the progress, it got to about 95
percent every time and then everything stopped. A sighted friend told me it
said something about no signal). I just wanted to check with people here
that I have it set up right, and see if anyone's got any ideas.
The stick's in, and going from it to the ariel socket in my wall I have a
cable a friend gave me. Lol that doesn't sound very well described, but I
don't know what this cable's called - he said it's just the ariel cable I
would need. Because there wasn't that type of cable with the stick when it
came.
For people who have used the stick, did you get the correct cable in the
package?
Also, apart from whether I'm using the correct cable, can anyone think of
anything else I might not have done correctly? Or anything else I can do to
try and get it working? I might write to their tech support but am not sure
how good they'll be as I e-mailed them before because the drivers didn't
come on a CD and I wanted them to give me a direct link to download them,
and they never replied.
Before this I was using a freeview box with my TV, which sometimes had
problems with the signal. So maybe I live in an area bad for picking up the
signal, but I've tried it several times and it just doesn't work at all.
And most of the time with my Freeview box it was ok...
If only I could worry about not being able to record stuff, watching stuff
would be a good start!
Catherine
