George,  fingers crossed...which does make it tricky to type...!

Is there a setting I can change in Outlook to avoid this hapneing in the
future?  Messages from / to access-uk do seem to have those -=3D20 and
other strnage chracters which I don't think I get at home with OE

Hi Phil,

I think in this case your mailer is adding that infernal equals twenty
or something.  Either that, or your reply is setting is adding the
double > sign.

I have Bcc:'d this message to the Moderator of the BookCourier list in
the hope that he will be able to add phil.stephenson@xxxxxxxxx to the
list manually.
