Going Wireless Advicei use a wireless router (D-Link make). the router
contains the broadband modem to connect you to the internet. you can connect
to the router either wirelessly or by a physical cable from your computer.

i have noticed that a lot of routers seem to come bundled with a wireless
device to use with your computer to connect to the router. the device may
either be a USB connection to your computer or it maybe a PCI card which you
would have to fit. if you need to buy a wireless device, i think it would only
set you back 20 or 30 pounds.

now i may be waffling, but i think you would have to get a PCMIA? wireless card
for the laptop to connect, or, i guess alternatively you could get a USB one if
you didn't mind it hanging off the laptop.

now if accessibility is the issue, you need to select your make of router with
care, since you need to access it via a web page in order to set it up. some
manufacturers make these interface web pages flashy and not very accessible.
My D-Link is quite accessible. I understand that the draitec? routers have
very accessible interfaces.

hope this helps.

regards.

nathan
