James, up until last night I was not able to use my mail client on
either my N70, which has the Pay and Go sim installed, or my
BrailleNote mPower BT 32, which was using my phone as a bluetooth
modem. That's just one example though and I can't say what we're
allowed or not allowed. However, since the proxy is now optional, it
might be possible we can use everything. Speeds are unfortunately
typical of dialup/GPRS speeds, but it's good if you want internet
whilst on the move and you don't have any wireless hotspots nearby.
Hope this helps.
