Hi Peter, admittedly John’s method below is better, never the less, here’s
another way of doing it: in the notification bar if you focus on the save
button and arrow down you’ll find the options to save as and save and open.
Save as is what you want. I’m not sure but I believe changing the download
location from (Save as) is temporary, and do not modify the default download
location.

In the past there used to be an option to save a file for download to a
destination of choice rather than accept the default destination. I have not
been able to do this for some time. I press Alt+N to activate the notification
bar and then there just seem to be options to open or save. I must be missing
something but what please?
