I would personally go for the following, 7I which gives allot more speed than most laptops, secondly theamount of ram you have would help it work faster the more the better, ifyou download allot of stuff then I would look for about 1 terra bitehard drive, make sure it can do both wireless and cable connection, have abuilt in Mic, head phone socket, built in cd writer and dvd playermachine, I find personally one of the better ones is Toshiba, also makesure you get one with full size qwerty keyboard a card reader is sometimes good also. of course the longer battery life you get the better, there is some out there with up to six hours battery life, but I find they soon drop in value meaning length of time they last for. hope this is of some help.
