Hi John

If you have the voices installed, all you need to do is go to Jaws > Language > Change Synthesiser and select "Sapi5". JAWS will switch to your current default Sapi5 Voice. Then you need to go to JAWS > options > Voices > Global Voice settings and use the "Person" dropdown box within that dialogue to change to the voice that you wish to use. This will now become your default Sapi5 voice and will work with Sapi5 Say All, etc. Stupid, I know, the whole JAWS UI needs redesigning coz it's got far too big.

Good luck

James

Subject: [access-uk] How to enable extra voices for JAWS 7.1?

Hello All,

Can anyone save me some time in wading through help screens. I've just acquired some extra SAPI 5 voices and want to use them with JAWS. How and where do I install and enable them?

Thanks.
John.
