AVG do now offer an anti-spyware package and it is pretty good too to
judge by reviews, and I've tried it as an evaluation. After the
time's up on that, it goes into passive mode so you can update it, but
it won't protect in real time. Be warned though, the interface is
rather like the new Eset and traditional Webroot interfaces; can be
access with mouse keys or JFW cursor but might appear unfriendly if
you aren't used to doing that.

Eset now do an all-in-one security and firewall suite. I've installed
this on a second computer, but as I'm not sure how good it all is,
I've paid only for a year's subscription to it. Seems very trouble
free in operation. It covers anti-virus and spyware-malware
protection with the addition of spam filtering, though don't know how
effective that bit is as I don't use email on that machine.

Haven't time to ferret out download addresses, but Google would soon
turn these up.

Cheers,

Hi, have you tried AVG Security Suite? This is not free, unlike the
Antivirus/Antispyware/Antirootkit programmes, but you can try it for
30
days. Go to www.grisoft.com for more information and to download the
said
trial. Hope that helps.
