Hello Jackie

I have a forth generation nano and once you set it up through ITunes, and made sure that your enable spoken menus is checked and that it has properly synced, then it is very accessible with the speech. I think some features such as the clock and language settings aren't spoken but I don't find that a real problem as the clock especially I can either look at my watch or my mobile phone. There has been a new nano out since the forth gen which does and works in exactly the same way, but has a few new features such as a fm radio and a few other things I am not to familiar with.

Hope this helps

All the best

Martin

Subject: [access-uk] Ipod Nano questions

Many apologies for raising this topic as I know it has been exhaustively covered in the past. But, as you know, when the thread isn't relevant to you at the time, it kind of passes you by! (smile).

I have always resisted the temptation to purchase an Ipod because I've never wanted to put Itunes on my Windows PC. But as Martin has a Mac, I'm going to seriously look at buying an Ipod as my main need for an MP3 player with speech is for music.

So, apart from the ITouch, which doesn't greatly interest me to be honest, is the 16GB Nano about the most accessible device with speech out there at the moment, and are all the features on it speech friendly once you turn it on through Itunes?

Again, apologies as I know this has been covered ...
