Hi Pele Well, after more than four years of having the box with all the works inside it, I've now discovered the little box where 4 double A batteries go, with a lead on the end that plugs into the mains socket so I can use the device. I doubt it will charge if I were to purchase a set of rechargeable batteries, but Martin has a charger for this job anyway, so if I find it works out with alkaline double A batteries, I might well buy a set of rechargeables and use his unit to charge them up. I could also buy an internal battery for the Iriver that I've seen on Amazon for £12.95 plus about £4 postage, but it's getting it fitted that will be the problem as it isn't straightforward so people tell me. In my view still a great music player though which is why I want to preserve it if possible. Hi Jackie I have an Iriver H320 and the battery has completely died. I play it on the mains through a speaker in the kitchen. But I can no longer copy anything to it as there is not enough power in the USB port and it keeps losing the connection. I did not get a battery pack with mine.
