Trouble is, on that premise, JAWS Version 1 should work with Windows 8? Or
any other screen reader for that matter? Try asking the manufacturers for
that.

Sorry, but I doubt, that those of us who like their devices, will change. In
other words, xp and note taker users will likely not change, just because
something is not working. They will either mobilise it, or will find a new
resource. But at the end of the day, its not our choice, how sites are layed
out.
