not in version 7.0 you don't but version 7.1 is a free download.
Go to www.freedomscientific.com
Press H to go to the next heading. You need to do this until you get to a
heading called JAWS Headquarters.
This is a link and you can press enter to activate it. Note that you can also
get to this by going to the links list with insert f7 and pressing J until you
get to JAWS head quarters.
In the JAWS head quarters section press H and then arrow down until you get to
a link called JAWS 7.1.500 released or something like that. don't have a
reliable web connection right where I am at the moment so this is a bit
approximate.
Once you have installed JAWS version 7.1 you can then do updates.
I am not sure however if the updater will work with major version updates such
as from 7 to 8. It certainly didn't work for updating the beta of 7.1 to the
final release version. we will see!

You'll get the next couple of full upgrades - 8 and 9 or 8.0 and 8.2 or
whatever - you'll be able to update by selecting 'check for updates' from the
Jaws menus but if you don't do that you'll be sent a Cd from whoever you bought
Jaws from with the new version on it when it's released.

Hi, I have had J7 for a year and have as part of the license 2 upgrades,
does this mean I get 8 and then 9? or is it .1 and .2? How does it happen, does
the company just contact me? or do I do the updates myself from the computer?
if so, how do I do this? I thought I read something about this from George
Belle the other day ...
