[access-uk] Re: Just out of Interest, as well as IE7, will there be an OE87 to match it?

I have downloaded IE7 which works well with Window-Eyes. Thanks for putting me
right as to
what you are using Alex.

From what I hear JFW users just now are better off sticking with IE6. The
update to IE7, as
far as I can see, seems to leave Outlook Express untouched.

I believe HAL/Supernova users have had problems with IE7 thus far, although
maybe updated
maps will appear to help there.

My impression is that the road from XP to Vista may be a rockyone and it seems
that the
transition from how screen readers work now with XP to the new model of access
under Vista
is continuing to involve developpers on the MS side not to mention screen reader
developpers, in a lot of work. In a way I am not unhappy that money doesn't
allow me to
indulge in upgrading, but some folk in work situations of course may not have a
choice but
to be an early upgrader.

I'd say that if you can do a trawl through the recent back issues of Main Menu
you may begin
to get a flavour of what's going on re. Vista, Window-Eyes and JfW - although
the JFW
programme doesn't appear to be officially in the archive as yet.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the clarification, however, what you say raises a question I
would like to put to the list. If OE is not going to be upgraded, prior to
this windows Mail coming out, will IE7 work with OE6, or will windows Mail
come out soon after IE7 has been released?
