Hi James.

I would say the epson scanners such as the 3490 are good, though a bit
noisy.

Cheers

Subject: [access-uk] K1000 scanner recommendations

Hi All
I'd be interested to hear scanner recommendations from any K1000 users out
there, I'm asking on this list rather than the KESI one because I want a UK
perspective. I've had an HP Scanjet 3670 for a few years and am now really
fed up with it. The main problems have been:
1. Hp software generating new windows in the middle of a scan, which have
taken the focus from K1000
2. HP software insisting on installing a lot of photo and imaging tools I
don't need
and 3. HP software frequently crashing both K1000 and textbridge.

So what scanners are you all using, and what do you think of them? I might
consider the Plustech book scanner, but I want to be able to scan A4
documents as well, and am not sure if it will do this.

Feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

James
