hi, i use dvd audio extractor myself. and you can actually play the dvd. you don't have all the bells and whistles such as angles, zoom etc etc, but if you want to listen to the audio track only, it's perfectly usable.

Hi thanks for that,

I think DVD audio extractor only gives you access to controls of a DVD
player as it were,

But you still need something like wmp or winamp or the like to play them or
listen to the sound hth.

Kevin,

According to the Jonathon Mosen review of DVD audio extractor I listened to
the other day you can use DVD audio Extractor itself as a DVD player so ok
this doesn't answer your question about wmp10 but it would at least give you
a basic player which is accessible. If you want to know more then check ou
the message of a day or two ago which gave the link for Jonathon's audio
blog.

HTH

Hi all,

I downloaded DVD audio extractor last night only to discover that when I
tried to play a DVD using wmp 10 it came up and told me I don't have a dvd
encoder installed on my computer!

I wonder if anyone can give me a direct link to a free DVD encoder I had a
look on micro soft's site last night but it would seem that all the dvd
encoders that I could find you had to pay for I thought that wmp 10 could
play DVD's without having to install a DVD encoder but apparently not!

Thanks for any help you can give me on this matter all the best.
