Roger,

Try the shareware version of Goldwave.

Load it into it's batch processor,

file and batch processor.

The settings should be self-explanitory once you tab about in there.

I think this will work. I can't remember if it i when I tryed it or if the MKV's I had where DRM ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger South" <roger.south@xxxxxxxxxx>

Subject: [access-uk] MKV Files

HI All

A friend has sent me a film in MKV format. I've looked it up and it seems to be yet another new format for whatever reason .But my problem is I can't do anything with it. ConverttoDVD will do just that but not completely so the finished result is not really usable. I can only find applications to convert it to AVI or DVD where a payment of around £30 is needed. For what will hopefully only ever be just the one film this is too expensive. Does anyone know of a free application that will convert this for me please.

Many thanks

Roger
