Thanks, Damon.  I've been avoiding getting something like Goldwave as I 
don't have the time to mess with it, and I know I will want to.

if you download GoldWave or something similar, you could easily convert the
MP3 into a WAV file.

Just open the MP3 then immediately save it as a WAV format file.  You'll
even get the opportunity to edit it a little bit if you like to make it
smaller or whatever.
