Andy,

As others have said, Office 2007 uses a ribbon instead of the menu which is
accessed by pressing alt.

The ribbon consists of tabs, groups and commands.

I suppose that tabs are equivalent to menu headings, and you move between
them with right and left arrows when you press alt, a bit like in a dialog
box.

Each tab consists of groups of commands.

On an individual tab, you can press shift right or left arrow to move
between groups of commands.

To move between commands, you can press tab.

All the commands are accessible on any given tab a bit like a dialog box, so
you can tab between them and don't have to worry about groups of commands if
you don't want to. Commands are grouped because you could find yourself
shift tabbing for an awfully long time, so shift right and left arrows help
you to move quickly between groups.

It's important to remember that old shortcut keys will still work, if that's
the way you access your most frequently used commands.

If you wanted to listen to JAWS training/a demo, you could look at
ftp://ftp.freedomscientific.com/users/hj/private/WebFiles/JAWS/basictraining
/31_Office2007WithMAGicAndJAWS9.zip
This is around 25MB.

There is also a good text explanation (probably much better than mine) at
http://www.gwmicro.com/Support/Knowledge_Base/?kbnumber=GWKB1075

Although this was written by the manufacturers of Window-Eyes, the basics
will be applicable.

| Hi, personally I wouldn't use Microsoft Works, but the latest JFW
| supports Microsoft Office 2007. Be aware though, there's a learning
| curve as the interface has changed from a standard menu to "ribbons". I
| don't have Office 2007, but from Sight Village I heard that JFW versions
| 8 or higher will work with it. Hope that helps.
